So jetzt muss ich mal eingestehen von Virtual Earth hab ich bis jetzt noch gar nichts mitbekommen. Ich würde es jetzt einmal als potentiellen Konkurrenten von GoogleMaps einordnen, obwohl das auf der Projektwebsite verneint wird.

Virtual Earth bietet auch eine API und als Besonderheit das Virtual Earth Interactive SDK, damit kann man per Mausklick seine Wunschkarte zusammenstellen und erhält den fertigen Code. Das muss ich mir später nochmal genauer anschauen. Als Besonderheit ist noch die Birds-Eye-Ansicht zu nennen, hier gibt es von verschiedene Städte aus der Sicht eines Vogels.
